Slugfest is a 1987 Transformers G1 Cassette released exclusively with Overkill in a two-pack. The G1 Slugfest toy transforms from a microcassette into a robotic Stegosaurus, with spring-loaded spine plates that pop out when the head and tail are folded down. In cassette mode, he fits inside Soundwave, Blaster, and compatible retooled or redecoed cassette players.
The Transformers G1 Slugfest includes left and right Vibro-Cannons and was one of only two new cassettes introduced in the 1987 Hasbro lineup. The mold was later redecoed as Shattered Glass Slugfest, making this vintage G1 Cassette a notable collectible.
