Sludge is a 1985 Transformers G1 Dinobot that transforms into a robotic Brontosaurus with an opening jaw. The G1 Sludge toy includes an Energo Sword, Electron Cannon, rocket pod launcher, and three rockets. His missile launcher uses weakened springs for safety, while a molded driver compartment appears in his robot-mode chest.

The Transformers G1 Sludge is based on Takara's Diaclone Dinosaur Robo Brontosaurus and has relatively good robot-mode articulation due to its transformation design. Sludge carries Takara ID 27, making him a notable vintage G1 Dinobot collectible.
