Skywarp is a 1984 Transformers G1 Decepticon Plane that transforms into an F-15 Eagle fighter jet. The G1 Skywarp toy includes two missile launchers, missiles, machine guns, fists, wings, rudders, tail fins, and landing gear. The piecemeal transformation requires removing and reattaching many aircraft parts, making complete vintage examples difficult to find.
The Transformers G1 Skywarp mold originated from Takara's Diaclone Jet Robo and was shared with Starscream and Thundercracker, but his distinctive black-and-purple colors were unique to Transformers. A 1985 release added a factory-applied rubsign, while Takara retained the launcher's firing mechanism removed from the Hasbro version. Early stock photos also differ from the final toy in several colors and parts, making production variations notable to G1 Transformers collectors.
