Skyhammer is a 1989 Transformers G1 Ultra Pretender featuring a transforming inner robot, humanoid inner shell, and large non-transforming flying fortress outer shell. The G1 Skyhammer toy transforms into a Cybertronic car, while the inner shell becomes a hoverjet/landspeeder that can enclose the robot or serve as a cockpit. The fortress includes a turret and pivoting double cannons.
The Transformers G1 Skyhammer is notable for severe Gold Plastic Syndrome, affecting the inner robot, inner shell, and lower portion of the outer shell. Catalog images showed an earlier blue-and-red color scheme instead of the final gold-and-red version. No version of the Skyhammer mold or character was released in Japan.
