Sky Lynx is a 1986 Transformers G1 Motorized Space Shuttle that transforms into a shuttle, crawler-transporter, prehistoric bird-like robot, and lynx-like robot that combine into a robotic griffin. The G1 Sky Lynx toy features a battery-powered motor that rolls the transporter forward and activates a slow walking action in lynx mode, plus an opening shuttle cargo bay with gold chrome detailing.
The Transformers G1 Sky Lynx had two releases, with the later version modifying the rear thruster hinge to provide more clearance for the tail. Licensed from Toybox, Sky Lynx was not initially released by Takara in Japan and had a delayed European release, making this large vintage G1 Transformers toy a distinctive collectible.
