Overview of the Transformers Action Master Shockwave Figure

Released in 1990 as part of the third wave of individually carded Action Masters, Shockwave is a non-transforming action figure that combines design elements from both his original 1985 toy and his animated appearance. Like other figures in the Action Masters line, he was designed with articulation and scale comparable to contemporary G.I. Joe figures and is compatible with the line's interchangeable weapons and vehicles.

Shockwave includes his partner robot, Fistfight, who combines with Shockwave's handgun to form a larger lightning rifle accessory.

Rumored Test-Market Variation

Some collectors have reported an early test-market version of Action Master Shockwave that included a rubber hose connecting his arm cannon to his backpack, similar to the original 1985 Shockwave toy. While this variation has never been officially confirmed, the figure features connection points that can accommodate the black hoses included with many vintage G.I. Joe figures, lending some credibility to the claim.
