Rollbar is a 1987 Transformers G1 Throttlebot that transforms into an olive-green Jeep CJ-7. Like other Throttlebots, the G1 Rollbar toy features a pull-back motor that sends him rolling forward across smooth surfaces in either vehicle or robot mode. His windows uniquely feature a printed arid landscape design rather than a simple solid color.
The Transformers G1 Rollbar figure was part of the 1987 Decoy promotion, with carded releases including a soft-rubber Autobot or Decepticon Decoy. In Japan, the Throttlebots were also part of a promotional campaign that offered one of six randomly selected all-white Autobot Master Warriors with qualifying purchases. Rollbar carries Takara ID C-95, making him a distinctive vintage G1 Throttlebot collectible.
