Roadbuster is a 1985 Transformers G1 Deluxe Vehicle and one of two Deluxe Autobots introduced during the second year of the original Transformers toyline. The G1 Roadbuster toy transforms into an orange-and-green Cybertronic jeep equipped with a large gun. In robot mode, he can use the vehicle weapon along with a laser rifle, linear blaster gun, and shoulder-mounted shrapnel missile launcher. His extensive accessories also include five missiles, a control pack, power pack, antenna, infrared range finder, and snap-on wheel armor.
The Transformers G1 Roadbuster figure is known for its unusually large accessory count, including the tiny infrared range finder and multiple removable armor and weapon components. However, the toy has a notable design weakness: thin green plastic in the vehicle's center section is pressed against by the shoulders during transformation, creating visible stress marks and potential breakage over time. Finding a complete G1 Roadbuster with all five missiles and accessories can therefore be challenging for vintage Transformers collectors.
