Roadblock is a 1989 Transformers G1 Ultra Pretender featuring three layers: a transformable inner robot, a transformable humanoid inner shell, and a large non-transforming outer siege tank. The G1 Roadblock toy has a small inner robot that transforms into a half-track tank and includes two lasers and a dual blaster, with his weapons mounting on the tank and outer shell. The robot can also fit inside the inner shell, pilot its wind cruiser mode, or stand atop the outer tank to operate its guns.
The humanoid inner shell transforms into a wind cruiser and carries the weapon accessories, while the outer shell becomes a large siege tank and battering ram with weapon mounting points and an extending cannon. Roadblock's gold-plastic inner robot parts are highly prone to Gold Plastic Syndrome, particularly the arm-to-torso pegs. The Transformers G1 Roadblock mold was never released in Japan.
