Reflector is a 1986 Transformers G1 Mail-Away release composed of three robots—Viewfinder, Spectro, and Spyglass—that combine into a camera resembling a 1969 Ricoh 126C-Flex TLS. The G1 Reflector toy includes individual robot weapons, a flash cube/missile launcher with three missiles, and a telephoto lens. Its camera mode features functional play details, including a working viewfinder and a clicking shutter button.
Transformers G1 Reflector was sold at retail in Japan in 1985, while Hasbro delayed its US release until 1986, offering the set through mail-order promotions. The figure was planned for the US line as early as 1984, which explains its appearance in the original cartoon. With its three-robot combination and functional camera features, Reflector is a distinctive vintage G1 Transformers release.
