Ransack is a 1985 Transformers G1 Deluxe Insecticon that transforms into a predominantly black-and-yellow robotic locust. The G1 Ransack toy is a redeco of Bandai's previously unreleased Armored Insect Corps Beetras “Beet-Vadam” figure and includes a High-Intensity Concussion Blaster and Reflector Shield. His robot-mode arms cannot move forward, limiting the practical use of both accessories.
Because the Ransack mold was owned by Bandai, it was not released by Takara in the Japanese version of the original Transformers G1 toyline. This makes Ransack one of the distinctive Deluxe Insecticon releases from the early G1 era.
