Onslaught is a 1986 Transformers G1 Combaticon and the central component of Bruticus, transforming into a dark blue and green mobile anti-aircraft truck with a large double-barreled turret. The G1 Onslaught toy includes a sonic stun-gun rifle, chest shield, ramp, and Bruticus components including his head, chest shield, fists, and foot stands. His base mode features a ramp for smaller Combaticons and can connect with Metroplex and Trypticon.
The Transformers G1 Onslaught figure originated from the canceled Diaclone Jizai Gattai concept and uses a Scramble City-style combining system. Hasbro removed the spring-loaded vehicle-launching mechanism from the base mode, while the Japanese release retained it. Three production variants exist, including versions with painted metal, silver plastic, or light gray plastic chests and parts. As the Bruticus torso, Onslaught remains a key collectible for fans of G1 Transformers, Combaticons, and 1986 Transformers toys.
