The 1987 Transformers G1 Battletrap is a Decepticon Duocon that combines two separate vehicles into a single robot. His upper body transforms into a simplified gray AH-64 Apache helicopter, while his lower body becomes a blue Ford F-150 camper truck. Connecting the helicopter to the truck activates Battletrap’s signature spring-loaded automatic transformation into robot mode, making him one of the more unusual G1 designs.
Battletrap includes a gray double-barreled assault missile launcher that can attach to his robot-mode shoulder or mount onto either vehicle when separated. Released in 1987 as part of the original Transformers G1 toy line, Battletrap is a distinctive vintage Decepticon collectible known for its innovative two-vehicle Duocon design and simple mechanical transformation gimmick.
