Octane is a 1986 Transformers G1 Triple Changer that transforms into a Kenworth T600-based fuel tanker truck and a Boeing 767-inspired twin-engine jet. The truck and trailer remain connected in every mode, while the figure includes a flamethrower, tanker top, and removable tail fin that becomes his Deflecto Shield.
The Transformers G1 Octane toy is notable for several production details, including an originally planned sliding waist and chrome lower arms and fists that were removed before release. The tanker top doubles as a shield and covers internal jet components, while inconsistencies in the sticker sheet and instructions add interest for G1 Transformers collectors.
