Monstructor is a 1989 Transformers G1 Combiner formed by combining six individually released Pretender Monsters: Icepick (right leg), Birdbrain (lower torso), Bristleback (right arm), Scowl (left leg), Slog (upper torso), and Wildfly (left arm). As the final Generation 1 combiner released by Hasbro, Monstructor requires separate head, waist, fists, and feet to complete his robot mode, with the components conveniently stored on the backs of the Pretender shells. He was also the only G1 combiner not released as a giftset in any market.
The Transformers G1 Monstructor is notable for being the smallest G1 combiner, standing roughly as tall as a standard figure such as Hot Rod. Collectors should be aware that Bristleback and Slog are affected by Gold Plastic Syndrome, creating a significant risk of breakage, particularly when transforming Bristleback. The six robot molds were later reused to create Dinoking, the combined form of the Dinoforce, making Monstructor an important late-G1 collectible for fans of Pretenders, combiners, and vintage Transformers toys.
