Transformers Generation 1 Battle Squad (1990)

The 1990 Transformers G1 Battle Squad is a Decepticon Micromaster Combiner team released by Hasbro during the final year of the original U.S. Transformers toy line. The six-member team was packaged together as three pairs: Direct-Hit & Power Punch, Meltdown & Half-Track, and Fireshot & Vanquish. Each pair combines its two vehicle modes to create a larger military- or aerospace-themed vehicle.

Battle Squad figures are also compatible with other Micromaster Combiners and Combiner Transports, allowing different characters to be mixed and matched to create custom vehicle combinations. The same molds were later released in Japan during the Return of Convoy era as the Crane Cannon W Team and Jet Tank W Team, making the 1990 Battle Squad a notable vintage Transformers G1 Micromaster collectible.
