Toxic Crusaders Toxie (1991)

The Playmates Toxie action figure is one of nine figures released in 1991 for the Toxic Crusaders toy line, based on the animated series inspired by The Toxic Avenger. As the heroic leader of the Toxic Crusaders, Toxie is the mutated alter ego of Melvin, a victim of a radioactive waste accident who gains super strength and becomes Tromaville’s defender against pollution and evil.

The figure includes several accessories: a blue belt, three orange pomegranates, an orange shield with sticker, an orange mop with U.S. flag, and a fluorescent white bug accessory. No major figure variants are known, though international packaging differences exist. The Toxie Toxic Crusaders figure remains a highly collectible 1990s action figure among fans of Playmates toys, Troma collectibles, The Toxic Avenger, vintage cartoon figures, and retro superhero merchandise.
