Rambo 45er Action Set (1986)

The 1986 Arco Rambo 45’er Action Set is a vintage life-sized role-play toy set released during the popularity of Rambo: The Force of Freedom. Manufactured by Arco Industries Ltd., the set allowed children to recreate Rambo-style military adventures with a collection of kid-sized combat and survival accessories.

The centerpiece is the 45’er toy handgun, a life-sized olive-drab or dark-gray plastic pistol available in different packaging variations, including versions with a sound feature or soft suction-dart action. The complete set also included a survival holster, toy binoculars, plastic hand grenade, novelty compass, stickers, and instructions.

For collectors, the Arco Rambo 45’er Action Set is a desirable piece of 1980s Rambo role-play merchandise. Complete examples can be difficult to find because the plastic components were designed for active outdoor play and are often missing, damaged, or broken.
