The 1997 Toy Island Electronic Military Tank is a vintage vehicle from Toy Island’s 1990s Rambo toy line, which followed Coleco’s classic 1980s Rambo: The Force of Freedom figures. Designed around the 3.75-inch G.I. Joe scale, the tank features a generic olive-drab military design with battery-operated lights and electronic battle sounds. It was part of Toy Island’s vehicle assortment and complemented the larger Rambo Hummer/Jeep released during the same period.
The tank came packaged with an exclusive Toy Island Rambo action figure featuring a particularly intense facial sculpt and an oversized, muscular body. The figure has approximately 9 points of articulation, including the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. Today, the 1997 Toy Island Rambo Electronic Military Tank is a niche collectible, with complete boxed examples being difficult to find due to the limited distribution and lower survival rate of Toy Island’s 1990s Rambo vehicles.
