The 1985 LarGo Rambo Walkie Talkie Set is a vintage role-play toy inspired by Rambo: First Blood Part II and produced by LarGo Toys Ltd. Unlike Coleco’s 6.5-inch Rambo: The Force of Freedom action figures, LarGo specialized in larger, budget-friendly role-play accessories designed for children. The set typically included two military-style plastic walkie talkies decorated with Rambo branding or stickers, although some versions were packaged with additional role-play items such as a clicker gun, red Rambo headband, or survival knife.
The LarGo walkie talkies were non-electronic toy props intended for imaginative play, rather than functional radio transmitters. Although commonly identified as 1986 Rambo toys, LarGo’s merchandise dates to 1985, coinciding with the release of Rambo: First Blood Part II. Today, the LarGo Rambo Walkie Talkie Set is a collectible piece of 1980s Rambo merchandise, particularly when found complete on its original card. Collectors should also distinguish it from Coleco’s separate Rambo-themed communication accessories, which were designed specifically for the larger The Force of Freedom action figures.
