The 1986 Coleco Rambo Tri-Tracker Heat-Seeking Missile Launcher is a vintage military-themed accessory from the Rambo: The Force of Freedom toy line. Released as a Series 2 weapon accessory, the Tri-Tracker was designed for Rambo and the Force of Freedom, with its primary purpose being to accompany Rambo’s Defender 6x6 Assault Vehicle. The launcher features a mobile artillery design with a manually swiveling tracking array that simulates radar targeting.
The Coleco Tri-Tracker also includes a spring-loaded firing mechanism that launches its distinctive red plastic missiles, adding an interactive battle feature typical of 1980s action toys. Although intended as a hero accessory, Coleco’s packaging explained that the weapon could be captured by S.A.V.A.G.E., allowing collectors and kids to use it with either faction. Today, the Tri-Tracker is a desirable vintage Rambo accessory, particularly when found complete with its missiles and original parts.
