The 1986 Coleco Mad Dog action figure is a collectible Series 1 figure from the Rambo: The Force of Freedom toy line. Mad Dog is a human punk-style mercenary and member of General Warhawk’s S.A.V.A.G.E. organization in the animated series. Standing approximately 6.25–7 inches tall, the figure features a distinctive mohawk, purple-and-orange outfit, black gloves, and a soft vinyl/rubber head on a hard plastic body.
The figure has seven points of articulation, including the neck, shoulders, hips, and knees, with Series 1 figures lacking elbow joints. Original accessories include a removable purple backpack and military-style weapons, along with the character file card. For collectors, finding a complete Coleco Mad Dog with all original accessories can be challenging, making it a desirable vintage Rambo collectible.
