Rambo Gripper (1986)

The 1986 Coleco Gripper action figure is a highly collectible villain from the Rambo: The Force of Freedom toy line. Manufactured by Coleco, this 6.5-inch figure portrays Gripper, a muscular S.A.V.A.G.E. mercenary known for his eye patch and distinctive mechanical prosthetic right hand. The figure features seven points of articulation at the neck, shoulders, hips, and knees.

Gripper’s signature accessory is a spring-loaded, wind-up quad-Uzi attack shield. Pressing the activation button deploys four miniature Uzi-style machine guns from the shield, while the figure was also packaged with a total of five Uzi-style weapons and a backpack. For collectors, the Coleco Gripper is a standout 1986 Rambo figure, particularly when complete with his specialized shield and extensive weapon accessories.
