Rambo Colonel Trautman (1986)

The 1986 Coleco Colonel Trautman action figure is a vintage figure from the Rambo: The Force of Freedom toy line, based on Rambo’s commanding officer and mentor, portrayed by Richard Crenna in the films. Standing approximately 6.5–7 inches tall, the figure features Colonel Trautman in a green U.S. Army-style dress uniform with his signature molded beret and seven points of articulation.

Its standout feature is a wind-up ammunition-feed gimmick that moves a flexible plastic ammunition belt from a backpack-style distributor into his 7.62 FN machine gun. A complete figure includes the machine gun and ammo belt, ammunition distributor backpack, M16 rifle, Colt .45 pistol, combat knife, and field radio. For collectors, the Coleco Colonel Trautman is a notable 1980s Rambo figure, particularly when complete with its extensive weapon and gear assortment.
