The 1986 Coleco Skywolf Assault Jet is a highly collectible vehicle from the Rambo: The Force of Freedom toy line, designed as Rambo’s ultimate air-to-air and air-to-ground combat aircraft. According to the toy’s fictional lore, the Skywolf was designed by Turbo, Rambo’s mechanical and weapons specialist. Its standout feature is a retractable swing-wing system, operated by a lever that moves the wings between high-speed and landing positions.
The Skywolf Assault Jet is loaded with 1980s action-toy features, including two missile launchers with eight drop-launch missiles, side-mounted Gatling-style Maniac Miniguns, a pivoting AGS-17 grenade launcher, and a sliding cockpit canopy sized for the line’s action figures. For collectors, a complete example can be difficult to find because the removable canopy and fragile cockpit control stick are commonly missing or damaged. Original packaging also included an assembly sheet, sticker sheet, and Skywolf technical information card, making the 1986 Coleco Skywolf Assault Jet a standout collectible for vintage Rambo and 1980s military toy collectors.
