1984 Transformers G1 Frenzy and Laserbeak is a Mini-Cassette 2-pack featuring Frenzy, a blue microcassette that transforms into a robot compatible with the tape doors of Soundwave and Blaster. Frenzy comes with two silver-chromed Thruster Guns that attach to his back or arms. Originally released with a Decepticon insignia sticker, later 1985 versions replaced it with a heat-sensitive rubsign on the cassette mode.
The Frenzy mold originated as Takara’s Micro Change Micro Cassette Robo Micross and was also used for Rumble and Enemy. Sold together with Laserbeak, the set represents one of the earliest cassette-based Transformers releases. With its compact cassette transformation, compatible Soundwave and Blaster functionality, and multiple mold uses, Frenzy/Laserbeak remains an iconic vintage Transformers G1 collectible.
