Spiral Zone Thermal Attack Suit (1987)

The 1987 Tonka Thermal Attack Suit was a standalone Uniform & Weapon Accessory Set for the Spiral Zone toy line. Rather than including an action figure, the carded set allowed collectors and kids to customize any standard 7-inch Zone Rider or Black Widow figure with specialized thermal combat equipment.

The set included a real-cloth camouflage jumpsuit, a large flame shooter/flamethrower connected by a flexible rubber hose to a fuel-tank backpack, and a secondary laser rifle. The combination gave figures a specialized heavy-weapon loadout suited to extreme-environment missions within the Spiral Zone universe.

The Thermal Attack Suit is a desirable vintage Spiral Zone accessory set because these separately sold uniform packs were easier to lose or damage than standard figures. Collectors seeking a complete example should look for the cloth suit, flame shooter, backpack, connecting hose, and laser rifle.
