Spiral Zone Paratrooper Jump Suit (1987)

The Paratrooper Jump Suit was released by Tonka in 1987 as part of the Spiral Zone: Earth's Most Powerful Soldiers accessory assortment. This standalone cloth uniform expansion pack was designed to customize the 7-inch Zone Riders for airborne missions, parachute drops, and high-altitude operations within the Spiral Zone.

The carded set did not include a figure and instead featured a real-cloth olive green and dark brown camouflage jump suit, specialized airborne helmet, parachute backpack, laser carbine rifle, survival knife with sheath, and entrenching tool. Like the other Spiral Zone uniform packs, it expanded the play possibilities of existing Zone Rider figures with mission-specific equipment.

Today, the 1987 Tonka Spiral Zone Paratrooper Jump Suit is a desirable accessory for Spiral Zone collectors, vintage Tonka enthusiasts, and 1980s toy collectors. Complete examples are difficult to find because the cloth uniform could fray, stain, or tear, while the small survival accessories were easily lost during childhood play.
