The Frogman Suit (MPN 7062) was released by Tonka in 1987 as a standalone accessory set for the 7-inch Spiral Zone Zone Riders. Designed for underwater and deep-sea missions, the carded expansion pack allowed collectors to outfit existing figures with specialized aquatic equipment without purchasing a new character.
The set included a black-and-yellow cloth wetsuit, a scuba backpack with molded oxygen tanks, a yellow scuba mask, swim fins, and a handheld speargun. Like other Spiral Zone uniform packs, the Frogman Suit emphasized the line's distinctive combination of fabric clothing, molded accessories, and military-style equipment.
Today, the 1987 Tonka Spiral Zone Frogman Suit is considered one of the harder accessory packs to find complete. The cloth wetsuit was vulnerable to chlorine, moisture, staining, and mold, while the small mask and fins were easily lost during childhood water play. Complete examples with all accessories and the original suit are particularly desirable to Spiral Zone collectors and vintage 1980s toy enthusiasts.
