Spiral Zone Bandit (1987)

Bandit is a core villain from Tonka's 1987 Spiral Zone toy line, serving as a member of the sinister Black Widows faction. Known as the “Master of Disguise,” Bandit is portrayed as a master terrorist and saboteur capable of mimicking voices and changing his appearance to infiltrate the heroic Zone Riders.

The vintage Tonka Bandit figure stands approximately 6 to 7 inches tall and features the pale skin, dark under-eye markings, and eerie eyes associated with the Black Widows. He wears a cloth tiger-stripe camouflage jumpsuit with removable blue-gray armor and includes a combat helmet, specialized “Mini-Lab” backpack, laser pistol, scanner, flexible hoses, decals, and a “Top Secret” file card. The original release also included the exclusive “The Bluff” audio cassette, featuring a radio-drama adventure centered on Bandit's deception and voice-mimicking abilities. Because many of his small accessories are easily lost, a complete 1987 Bandit action figure with intact clothing, armor, weapons, hoses, backpack, and audio cassette is particularly desirable among Spiral Zone collectors, vintage Tonka enthusiasts, and 1980s action figure collectors.
