Battlestar Galactica Viper Launch Station (1978)

The Viper Launch Station is a 1978 Mattel Battlestar Galactica playset based on the Colonial fighter launch systems from the original television series. Designed for interactive play, the set launches two Colonial Viper fighters using a trigger mechanism, allowing both ships to launch together with a quick squeeze or individually with a slower pull.

The Battlestar Galactica Viper Launch Station toy includes two lightweight Tuflite rubber Vipers, two Cylon Raider knockdown targets, and six replacement rubber bands for the launcher. While simple in design, the playset offered engaging action and remains moderately difficult to find on the secondary market. It is a desirable collectible for Battlestar Galactica fans, Mattel vintage toy collectors, and enthusiasts of classic 1970s science fiction playsets.
