Battlestar Galactica Colonial Landram (1978)

The Colonial Landram is the rarest vehicle in the vintage Mattel Battlestar Galactica toy line. Released in 1979, the vehicle includes a removable Colonial Pilot figure, opening side doors, and two non-firing red missiles permanently fixed in place. Based on the surface transport seen in the original television series, the Landram served as the Colonials' armored ground shuttle during planetary missions.

Because it was one of the final products released for the line, the Colonial Landram toy saw only a limited Canadian release following declining consumer interest and Mattel's redesign of missile-launching toys after the well-known safety recall. As a result, complete examples are extremely rare and seldom appear on the secondary market, making the Colonial Landram one of the most valuable and sought-after Battlestar Galactica vehicles for Mattel collectors and fans of vintage science fiction toys.
