1985 Transformers G1 Jetfire is an Autobot Air Guardian that transforms between robot, jet, and Guardian/Gerwalk modes. The figure is a redeco of Takatoku Toys’ Macross VF-1S Super Valkyrie and includes a Photon Missile Launcher, rifle mounting pod, Turbo Thruster booster pack, armor guards, and fenders. Jetfire also features significantly more articulation than most Transformers toys of its era.

Jetfire is highly collectible but is known for fragile shoulder joints and easily damaged armor clips. Its white plastic is also prone to yellowing, while the small black rifle clip is frequently missing from loose examples. Early versions featured Macross U.N. Spacy markings, with the earliest examples using painted insignia and later versions using stickers, along with other sculpt and canopy differences. 1985 Jetfire remains one of the most distinctive and historically notable vintage Transformers G1 figures.
