1989 Transformers G1 Ironworks is a Micromaster Station and a redeco of Off Road Patrol member Powertrain, transforming into a 1980 GMC General Sleeper Cab truck. He comes with a Construction Station that unfolds into a communications tower with a non-firing missile launcher, plus a crane/rocket launcher, staging area, ramp, and rocket.
In Japan, Ironworks was released as Build Base with Takara ID C-344 as part of the Transformers: Zone toyline. The Japanese and Hasbro versions are physically identical, while Ironworks shares plastic colors with Greasepit due to the gang-molded Powertrain/Mudslinger tooling. 1989 Ironworks remains a distinctive vintage Transformers G1 Micromaster Station collectible.
