1989 Transformers G1 Icepick is a Pretender Monster with a Micromaster-sized inner robot that transforms into a clawed, bipedal frilled-lizard creature. He can form either leg of Monstructor, with his intended position as the right leg. Icepick includes a rifle, Monstructor footplate, and a rubbery Pretender shell depicting a hunched, crystalline monster.
The Icepick Pretender shell features a solid back panel for storing his rifle and Monstructor footplate, but like other Pretender Monster shells, it can develop an oily residue and spotty discoloration over time. The inner robot mold and combiner parts were later reused for Goryu. With his unusual monster shell and role in the Monstructor combiner, 1989 Icepick is a distinctive vintage Transformers G1 Pretender Monster collectible.
