Transformers Generation 1 Huffer (1984)

1984 Transformers G1 Huffer is an Autobot Mini-Vehicle that transforms into a compact truck cab resembling a terminal tractor or single-axle semi truck, with design elements similar to a Volvo F88. As part of the original 1984 Minicar assortment, Huffer was initially packaged in vehicle mode. The 1985 release switched to robot-mode packaging and replaced the roof Autobot insignia with a heat-activated rubsign.

The Huffer mold originated as a 1983 Takara Micro Change “American truck” and was later reused for Pipes and Road Ranger. In Japan, Huffer was released in 1985 as Drag, packaged in a small box with a rubsign rather than the foil faction emblem. With its early Micro Change origins, multiple releases, and classic compact truck design, 1984 Huffer remains an important vintage Transformers G1 Mini-Vehicle collectible.
