1986 Transformers G1 Hubcap is an Autobot Mini-Vehicle and a retool of Cliffjumper, transforming into a super-deformed Porsche 924 inspired by Takara’s Choro-Q Porsche 924 Carrera GTR. Hubcap features a new robot head and a smaller, more realistic spoiler, along with the Porsche 924 Turbo-style hood scoop. His unique mold is sometimes confused with yellow Cliffjumper or Bumper, but Hubcap is a distinct figure.
Originally offered as a 1986 mail-away exclusive, Hubcap was mistakenly labeled as Cliffjumper on both promotional materials and instructions. The figure cost $3.50 and one Robot Point and was also part of the 1986 Mini-Vehicle promotional campaign featuring reflective iron-on patches. With its Porsche-based design, unique retooling, and mail-away release, 1986 Hubcap is a notable vintage Transformers G1 Mini-Vehicle collectible.
