1985 Transformers G1 Hook is a Constructicon that transforms into a bright green Nissan Diesel Unic K-160B truck crane. He features an alternate “Attack Crane” mode using Devastator’s head and head laser, and combines with the other Constructicons to form Devastator, serving as the upper torso. Hook includes a laser pistol and the components needed for Devastator.
Hook is a redeco of Takara’s Diaclone Construction Vehicle Robot No. 3 Truck Crane. During transformation, his legs must be pulled outward to clear a securing tab; forcing the legs without doing so can damage the figure. European releases included unusual 1986 yellow versions manufactured by Joustra, while the Italian GiG release was packaged in Takara-style boxes. 1985 Hook remains an essential vintage Transformers G1 Constructicon and Devastator component.
