1986 Transformers G1 Headstrong is a Predacon that transforms into a robotic rhinoceros and combines with the other Predacons to form Predaking. He can form either leg, with his standard position as Predaking’s left leg. Headstrong includes a Plasma Sphere Shooter, Diffraction Sword, and a double-barreled cannon that mounts on his beast-mode back and converts into Predaking’s foot.
The original Hasbro Headstrong features substantial die-cast metal, including most of the beast-mode back, while later releases replaced the metal with plastic. The die-cast construction makes the original figure notably back-heavy and less stable. As one of the five classic Predacons, 1986 Headstrong remains an important vintage Transformers G1 combiner figure and a key component of the original Predaking set.
