1988 Transformers G1 Guzzle is a Sparkabot that transforms into a Royal Ordnance Factory Challenger 1 tank. Like other Sparkabots, Guzzle features a friction-motor gimmick that propels the tank forward while producing “cold” sparks from the rear, making his action feature one of the defining characteristics of this vintage Transformers figure.
Guzzle’s arm treads include spaces intended for small rolling wheels, but the wheels were not included, which can cause the plastic to scrape during play. The mold was later reused to create Hardspark. With his military tank design and distinctive sparking gimmick, Guzzle remains a notable 1988 Generation 1 Transformers collectible.
