1989 Transformers G1 Grimlock Classic Pretender is a smaller, simplified version of the original Dinobot, while still transforming into a robotic Tyrannosaurus rex. His dino tail converts into a rocket-launcher gauntlet that can be used by either the inner robot or the Pretender shell. The figure includes a detailed armored Pretender shell with a knight-inspired design, helmet, and large bladed cannon.
The Grimlock Classic Pretender also features several unique design details, including differently angled 5 mm hand ports that allow the shell to hold its weapons in different positions. Its compact size and distinctive armored shell make this 1989 Grimlock a notable Generation 1 Pretender figure and an interesting collectible for vintage Transformers fans.
