The Saga of Crystar Zardeth (1982)

Zardeth is the main antagonist and supreme sorcerer of the Forces of Chaos in Remco's 1982 The Saga of Crystar, Crystal Warrior toy line and its Marvel Comics tie-in. As the dark counterpart to the heroic wizard Ogeode, Zardeth was released both as a standard carded action figure and as the featured character in the Spell of the Evil Wizard mini-playset.

The vintage Remco Zardeth figure stands approximately 3.75 inches tall and features a distinctive asymmetric head sculpt, solid opaque styling, a soft red fabric robe, plastic belt, and a curved purple-red magic staff often described as resembling a question mark. His unusual left hand is sculpted in a distinctive magical gesture, with thin extended fingers that are particularly prone to breaking. The 1982 Zardeth action figure is a notable collectible from Remco's short-lived Crystar line and remains popular with Crystar collectors, vintage Remco enthusiasts, Marvel toy fans, and 1980s fantasy action figure collectors.
