Tron Tron (1982)

Tron is the flagship heroic character of the original TRON toy line, represented by a distinctive 3.75-inch action figure released by TOMY in 1982. Based on the film's heroic security program, the vintage Tron figure is a key collectible from the original 1982 TRON toy line and remains popular with TRON fans and vintage sci-fi toy collectors.

The vintage TOMY Tron figure is molded in translucent clear blue or blue-purple plastic with crisp white circuitry details across the torso, arms, and legs. It features standard articulation at the head, shoulders, and hips and includes a small glow-in-the-dark identity disc that attaches to a peg on the figure's back. The original disc is frequently missing from loose examples. Some European releases also feature minor differences in plastic clarity and paint applications. Collectors should distinguish the original 1982 TOMY figure from the 2002 NECA reissue, which has different markings and a slightly different plastic tint.
