The Black Hole Harry Booth (1979)

The 1979 Mego The Black Hole Harry Booth 3.75-inch action figure was a standard Wave 1 carded release and stands out among the Palomino crew. Unlike Ernest Borgnine’s stocky appearance in the film, Mego used a slender, generic 3.75-inch body mold, resulting in a noticeably inaccurate physique.

Booth’s dark charcoal/black jumpsuit also gives the figure a distinctive appearance compared with the crew’s lighter uniforms. Like many vintage Mego The Black Hole figures, the hands are prone to broken thumbs caused by brittle plastic, making examples with intact hands particularly desirable to collectors.
