The Black Hole Dr. Hans Reinhardt (1979)

The 1979 Mego The Black Hole Dr. Hans Reinhardt 3.75-inch action figure was released in Wave 1 of Mego’s original The Black Hole toy line and was widely available at retail. Based on Maximilian Schell’s portrayal of the film’s mysterious commander, Reinhardt is instantly recognizable by his distinctive all-red uniform, black molded hair, and sculpted beard.

Like other human figures in Mego’s 3.75-inch Black Hole series, Reinhardt features highly articulated construction with internal rubber-band joints, providing impressive poseability for a figure of its size. The combination of the red uniform and detailed head sculpt gives the figure a distinctive appearance in any vintage collection.

For collectors, the most common condition issue is broken thumbs, as the tightly molded plastic hands can crack or snap with rough handling. Minor paint fading may also occur with age.
