The 1997 Stretch Donatello is a rare Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the Stretch Turtles subline. Developed around 1996 and released in 1997, this 4-inch figure uses a flexible rubber-like body that allows Donatello’s arms and legs to be stretched, twisted, bent, and pulled before returning to their original shape. He wears his signature purple bandana and features bright yellow eyes.

The Stretch Donatello includes two Big Bad Bō staffs, with a molded weapon clip on his right hand designed to securely hold the staff during stretching and play. The packaging describes his flexible powers with terms such as “Mutant Melted Mozzarella,” “+10.7 rubber factor,” and a “bounce defense.” Released late in the original Playmates TMNT toy era, this unusual rubber-bodied design makes the 1997 Stretch Donatello a distinctive vintage collectible.
