The 1997 Tyranno Shredder is a rare vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the Dino Turtles subline. Based on a prehistoric Shredder mutation, the figure features a heavily textured dinosaur-like body, classic bladed armor, and a spring-loaded Carnofist Action jaw that chomps when activated from the back.
The Tyranno Shredder includes a Mesozoic Mace, Tyranno Axe, and Spine Spear. Released near the end of the original Playmates TMNT toy line in limited quantities, it has become a collector grail and one of the most sought-after vintage Playmates TMNT figures for serious collectors.
