The 1997 Stego Raph is a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the prehistoric Dino-Turtles subline. This version of Raphael is transformed into a Stegosaurus hybrid after the Turtles combine their DNA with dinosaurs to battle Shredder’s dinosaur mutation. Pressing the bony button on his back activates “Real Amazin’ Arm-Axin’ Action.”
The Stego Raph includes two Dragon Claw Sais, Stego Club, and Dino Firestick, all featuring prehistoric-themed designs. The figure was produced in a limited late-1990s run, with some carded examples featuring “Dino-Turtles” or “Dino” packaging headers and promotional over-stickers. Its dinosaur mutation theme and unique action feature make this 1997 Playmates TMNT figure a distinctive vintage collectible.
