The 1997 Pterano Don is a rare vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the Dino Turtles subline. Donatello is reimagined as a brown Pteranodon-style mutant, featuring his signature purple mask, wraps, dark purple tail, yellow belt, and large removable wings. A button on his back activates the wing-flapping action feature.
The Pterano Don TMNT figure includes three teal prehistoric weapons: a Bone Staff, Jawbone Hatchet, and Horned Knuckle Duster. Released near the end of Playmates' original 1988–1997 TMNT toy run, the 1997 Pterano Don had a limited production run and is now a distinctive vintage Dino Turtles collectible for collectors.
