The 1996 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutatin' April action figure was released by Playmates Toys as part of the second wave of the popular Mutations subline. Based on April O’Neil, the Channel 6 news reporter transforms from her normal human form into the “Ferocious Feline Reporter,” a cat creature inspired by the classic 1988 TMNT animated series episode The Catwoman from Channel Six. This figure is identical to the 1993 release.
The Mutatin' April figure transforms manually by opening, flipping, twisting, and rearranging its articulated sections, with the packaging claiming a 2.9 Muta-second transformation time. Accessories include a Mutatin' Video Bag, Clamp-on Claws, Retromutagen Ooze Canister, and Mega Mutation Chart, making this 1996 vintage TMNT collectible a distinctive Playmates Toys transformation figure.
